Mischa Barton

Barton is a American actress from Britain who performs in cinema as well as television and theatre. She made her New York City debut at the Lincoln Center with Tony Kushner's Slavs! and played the lead in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. Her acting debut came in 1996 with a cameo in the American serial drama All My Children, and she voiced an character on the Nickelodeon animated show KaBlam! in 1996 through 1997. Between 1996 and 1997, she was the lead role from 1996 to 1997 in Lawn Dogs alongside Sam Rockwell. This was her first major acting performance. Her notable films include M. Night Shyamalan's suspense action thriller The Sixth Sense (1998) as well as the romantic comedy Notting Hill (1998). Barton also appeared in the 1999 crime drama that was an independent project called Pups. Barton was Evan Rachel Wood's love interest on ABC's Once and Again in 2001 and in the independent drama Lost and Delirious in 2001. Barton played Marissa Cooper in the 2003-2006 season of The O.C. Fox television series The O.C., for which she received two Teen Choice Awards. Barton became well-known because to play the role as well as Entertainment Weekly named her the year's "It Girl" in 2003. Barton was a part of the cast since 2003 in the comedic St Trinian's and the dramatic Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough and the drama Closing the Ring.
