Patina Miller

Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the principal actor in Stephen Schwartz's famous 1973 musical "Pippin" at Broadway. The Tony Award winning director Diane Paulus directed "Pippin", which also starred Matthew James Thomas and Andrea Martin. Terrence Mann and Matthew James Thomas were the Other stars. Patina took on the role of Ben Vereen, an award-winning actor. She also masterfully mastered Fosse's movements which are so important to the musical. Patina earned an Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress playing a Leading Role within a Musical and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical along with Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award, and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for the performance. Between December 2012 and December 2012, she played The Leading Player of American Repertory Theater's production Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
